10 great reasons to buy a property in La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas is one of the few Coastal Villages which retains the Village atmosphere. Once a small fishing village, it has now grown to attract international tourism yet still retaining its Andalucian Charm.
It is located in Mijas Costa, between Fuengirola and Marbella.

There is a future plan to build a railway line extention from the Fuengirola Line to Estepona. The Train station to serve Mijas Costa will stop near to La Cala de Mijas. This railway line will service the Majority of the Costa del Sol and run between Estepona and Malaga with a direct transfer to Malaga Airport.

There is a future plan to build a Marina location is just before La Cala de Mijas. This will attract additional tourism and will bring additional income to the Costa del Sol.

There are some 27 Golf courses located around the Costa del Sol. La Cala de Mijas is located in the Golf Valley, with Calanova Golf, La Noria Golf, Miraflores Golf, Riviera Golf, Calahonda Golf, La Cala Golf and El Chapperal Golf on its doorstep.

Every year La Cala de Mijas hosts its annual Summer Fair (Feria) within the last week of July. This is a week of Music, dance, Fair Attractions, plus so much more for all the family.

La Cala de Mijas hosts two weekly markets every week where you can buy anything from fresh vegetables and fruit, local ceramics, leather goods, and crafts as well as many other attractions.

Each Season there is a market located on the "Paseo", (seafront) in the evenings til the early hours.

Located close to the Village of La Cala de Mijas there is the "Hippodromo", the Horse Racing stadium that serves the Costa del Sol. Race meetings run each month with floodlit events from mid June until the end of August.

La Cala de Mijas has 2 km of golden sands with some of the best Chiringuitos along the Costa del Sol. It is perhaps one of the most attractive beach with the attraction of the popular El Bombo Beach where many of our properties are located.
